More About Doug
Greetings! I'm humbled that you're here, wanting to learn a little more about our story and excited that you want to redeem your ground too.
I grew up in Central Florida, where I was always outside — building forts, playing in streams, catching bugs, fish, and lizards, climbing trees, hunting, fishing, and exploring.
Fast forward through college, moving to Atlanta, work, business school, more work, marriage, kids, & more work. I found myself dying on the proverbial vine. My personal story had become lifeless. Less than mediocre. And deep down I knew it wasn't the story I wanted told for me, my marriage, or my girls.
So in 2013 I took a literal leap of faith and left a "successful" career that may have reflected my academic pedigree for one that better reflected who I believed I was created and called to be. Enter: Redeem Your Ground.
I'm now following my passions and innate skills, and I've never felt more alive. It's been really scary, full of challenges on so many fronts. But at the same time, it's been an amazing adventure — anything but stale!
So with all that said, if we can help others get outside more at home to grow, play, and connect with each other, we're really good with that. We hope that you'll join us on this ground redeeming ride.
Cheers,
