…Redeem Your Ground! That’s right…we won Best New Garden Blog at the 2015 Garden Bloggers Conference last week…whoop, whoop!
Unfortunately we weren’t able to be there to receive the award in person…but I asked fellow chicken-lover and blogger friend Deb Neyens (Counting My Chickens) to let me know once it was announced. And she did…within seconds…thanks Deb!
Thanks to you too…for voting and for being on this RYG journey with us this past year. It’s been a wild ride…but one we’re so glad to be on. And we’re really looking forward to seeing where 2015 takes us!

Mother of a Hubbard is written by Cathy Rehmeyer…mother of 2 young girls and medical school professor…yea, she’s just a tad bit smart. Besides providing a wealth of great gardening information and inspiration, Cathy masterfully communicates how what you put into your body affects your body. In particular, given her family’s gluten intolerance, Cathy shares some very tasty gluten-free recipes. So if that’s something your family also has to deal with, you really should check out Mother of a Hubbard.
Best Garden Blog Graphics, Photography, and Presentation … Green Thumb White Apron
Green Thumb White Apron (GTWA) is written by Brett Youmans. Fortunately for us, Brett goes to great lengths to share his love for gardening, cooking, crafting, renovating, and traveling on GTWA. And make no mistake, Brett’s no newbie at any of this – he’s been featured in Better Homes and Gardens and This Old House…and has won cooking contests from literally around the world. As his Hall of Fame Award suggests, GTWA is beautifully branded and features gorgeous pictures…presented in a very crisp and tasteful way. And not only that, he writes in a very conversational manner…while providing incredibly helpful information. Please check out what Brett’s doing on Green Thumb White Apron…you’ll be glad you did.

Yea…my feathered ladies are pretty lucky…but when I designed their coop and space around it I wanted to make sure my family, friends, and I would enjoy being near them as much as possible. Still layering on some things in and around the coop, but we’re very pleased with how it’s turned out. But thanks for your kind words about it and our site.
